AmeriCorps State and National Guide to Performance Measure Changes

AmeriCorps State and National has developed new guidance for program use when considering changes to performance measures. The below guide covers the general rule for performance measure changes, examples of allowable versus unallowable changes, considerations for State Service Commissions, and a procedure for considering performance measure changes. This guide is for use by all AmeriCorps State and National programs.

Performance Measurement 201 Workshop – AmeriCorps Symposium 2014

Performance measures are required for every AmeriCorps program and are intended to help grantees measure progress, recognize success, and strengthen their program activities. What makes a performance measure effective, and what are some common pitfalls that AmeriCorps grantees and State Service Commissions encounter when designing and reviewing performance measures? The Performance Measurement 201 Workshop, held at the 204 AmeriCorps State and National Grantee Symposium, explored best practices for developing and implementing strong performance measures. Workshop activities included a review of sample performance measures across the CNCS focus areas.
