Joining a CNCS Zoom Webinar

CNCS grantees and other stakeholders should join Zoom webinars using the personalized link they received after event registration or via the direct webinar link when no registration is required.

When Registration is Required

To join a Zoom webinar when registration is required:

Select the registration link.
Complete the online registration form.
A personalized link to join the webinar is sent to the email entered.
From the email invitation, select the personalized link.
If the Zoom application is not installed:The automatic download page displays.

  • Select the Zoom Client for Meetings installation file.
  • The webinar opens with the presentation displayed.

If Zoom is installed:

  • The Open Zoom Meetings pop-up displays. Select the Open Zoom Meetings button.
  • The webinar opens with the presentation displayed.

When Registration is not Required

To join a Zoom webinar via a direct link (no registration required):

Select the webinar Join link.
If the Zoom application is not installed:

  • The automatic download page displays.
  • Select the Zoom Client for Meetings installation file.
  • Enter your email address and name.
  • Select the Join Webinar button.
  • The webinar opens with the presentation displayed.

​If Zoom is installed:

  • The Open Zoom Meetings pop-up displays. Select the Open Zoom Meetings button.
  • Enter your email address and name.
  • Select the Join Webinar button.
  • The webinar opens with the presentation displayed.

Note: If either of the pop-ups listed below display when joining, the webinar has not begun.

  • “The webinar is scheduled for MM/DD/YYYY”, displays up to 30 minutes prior to webinar start
  • “Please wait. The webinar will begin soon,” displays up to 10 minutes prior to webinar start
