Resources for Programs

Materials on this page were created by staff of AmeriCorps State and National, and they are updated on an annual basis. They are designed to help new AmeriCorps program staff navigate CNCS and AmeriCorps requirements, program and member performance expectations, and available resources. For questions about the best way to use and apply any of these materials to your work, please reach out to your CNCS Program Officer.

  • Resources for New Direct AmeriCorps Grantees: This stand-alone document provides an overview of AmeriCorps State and National staffing, training and technical assistance, program start-up and implementation considerations, and a description of the grant award process.
  • Resources for Planning Grantees: This stand-alone document provides an overview of AmeriCorps State and National staffing, training and technical assistance, program start-up and implementation considerations, and a description of the grant award process. It also includes a sample planning grant timeline.
  • 2018 Glossary of AmeriCorps Terms: This is a useful reference tool for all new AmeriCorps program staff.
  • 2018 Checklist for New AmeriCorps Program Staff: This tool includes links to key resources to help program staff start and manage strong AmeriCorps programs, including links to grant terms and conditions, performance measure training, and more.
  • Unlocking the Member Exit Form and Survey: This document provides step-by-step instructions for managing the AmeriCorps Member Exit Form and Survey.
  • Member Assignment Listings: This link includes 3 documents to help programs design and manage strong and effective AmeriCorps Member Assignment Listings in the MyAmeriCorps Member Portal. The resources include instructions for submitting the member assignments, a submission checklist, and a list of common mistakes to avoid.
