2017 New AmeriCorps Program Staff Series

The following webinars will be presented for staff at new and existing AmeriCorps programs funded in the 2017-2018 grant year. The recording and materials shared in each webinar will also be posted on the National Service Knowledge Network after the session. Program staff may participate in one or all of the webinars; participation is optional.

Topics: Orientation to CNCS and AmeriCorps Grant Management – July 13, 3:00-4:30 pm Eastern

This webinar will be presented by CNCS staff in the AmeriCorps State and National Office and the Office of the Chief Risk Officer. Participants will include the staff of new AmeriCorps programs launching in the 2017-2018 program year, new staff at existing AmeriCorps programs, and state commission staff. The agenda will include an orientation to CNCS and AmeriCorps grant-making and key elements of the National Service Criminal History Check requirements.

The agenda will include a review of member recruitment strategies and resources, an introduction to financial management, and additional discussion of criminal history check requirements.
