Continuation and Renewal Trainings

FGP and SCP Continuations and Renewals: The Baseline Augmentation Opportunity and New Performance Measures

In this webinar, we discuss the continuation and renewal process for Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion programs, focusing on the two ways this year’s cycle is different from prior years. First, all FGP and SCP grantees have an opportunity to request a permanent increase to their baseline funding to aid their compliance and internal controls, including, but not limited to, using CNCS’ Criminal History Check vendors, Truescreen and Fieldprint. Second, all grantees will begin using new, streamlined National Performance Measure Instructions. We examine both of these changes in more depth, including some specific examples.

This content is relevant to all FGP and SCP grantees with start dates of July 1, 2019 – whether they are entering a new three-year performance period, or just a new budget year. This session is offered three times with identical content. It will be recorded.

RSVP Continuations: New National Performance Measures

Did you know that Senior Corps has published new National Performance Measures this year, and that you will have the opportunity to take advantage of these right away? Every RSVP grantee that is going through the continuation process – that is, applying for a new budget period – will be asked to submit new work plans that utilize these simpler, more inclusive performance measures. In this webinar, we outline the changes, why we think they will make performance measurement easier for RSVP, and what it means for your application.

Connecting to Senior Corps Webinars

Senior Corps uses Adobe Connect to host its webinars. Adobe Connect allows users with limited and ample bandwidth alike to connect quickly and easily and have a high-quality experience. No download is necessary - it opens directly in your browser and will give you instructions to connect to audio.

To join a webinar, register for the session using one of the links above. You will receive a confirmation email with a calendar invitation and a link to join the webinar. When you join, the system will walk you through how you can connect your audio. We strongly recommend choosing to have the system call you by selecting "Dial out" and entering your phone number. This method generally leads to the highest audio quality.
