AmeriCorps Week Resources
AmeriCorps Week is a celebration of all things AmeriCorps – from the programs and organizations that make this national service initiative possible in thousands of locations across the country, to the members who have committed to "Get Things Done" since the program’s inception in 1994.
Thank you for your participation in the AmeriCorps Week 2018 festivities. Programs, members, and alumni like you are at the center of this annual celebration and we appreciate you helping us share our impact. We encourage you to continue to make new national service friends and share our important story across new networks.
Visit our AmeriCorps Week splash page next year for events and other AmeriCorps Week information.
Be a Champion
You can be a champion for service any time! Help us recruit new members and make more people familiar with AmeriCorps. If you are serving in a school, consider giving a presentation to students. Or print out some flyers and leave them at organizations around your community. We have presentation materials like the AmeriCorps PowerPoint and Recruitment Flyer. And plenty of other helpful tools on our Communication Resources page.
Keep Us in the Loop
We are always looking for stories and events to highlight. Keep us in the loop by submitting your event information here. This will help us prepare what we will feature on our channels and identify press-worthy events. The Office of External Affairs will contact you directly if there is interest in getting media, special guests, or elected officials to your event.
If you have photos you’d like us to consider using, please share them on social media using #AmeriCorpsWeek, upload them to our main CNCS Flickr page (flickr.com/nationalservicephotos) or send them to email@example.com. Include a brief caption describing the scene and name of people pictured.
Let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org if there are additional materials that would be helpful to make it a successful AmeriCorps Week for you.
I will get things done for America - to make our people safer, smarter, and healthier.
I will bring Americans together to strengthen our communities.
Faced with apathy, I will take action.
Faced with conflict, I will seek common ground.
Faced with adversity, I will persevere.
I will carry this commitment with me this year and beyond.
I am an AmeriCorps member, and I will get things done.
