AmeriCorps grants are awarded to larger national programs and smaller programs that are not affiliated directly with state commissions. You can browse for opportunities with these programs below.

Find the AmeriCorps State and National program that fits you; we have hundreds of programs in communities across the country. Choose a part- or full-time program, select your interest area, and earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award. 


Choose your location: Serve in your own community or in a place you have never been before. AmeriCorps State and National has programs is all U.S. states and territories.

Choose your time commitment: AmeriCorps State and National offers service positions ranging from 300 to 1700 hour commitments.

Earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award: State and National members are eligible to receive an education award after successful completion of service. The value is dependent on length of service. State and National members 55 years and above are eligible to transfer their award to a family member. See details

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be 17 years or older (no upper age limit)
  • Pass a national service criminal history check
  • Hold one of the following citizenship statuses: US citizen, US National, Lawful Permanent Resident Aliens
