4. Symposium—It was a great pleasure to see you at the 2017 AmeriCorps State and National Symposium earlier this month. Here are few follow-up items:

a. Thank you! Thank you to all the participants, presenters, panelists and guest speakers, table top discussion coordinators, and meeting leaders who helped make this Symposium a success. In all, we held 38 sessions led by 84 speakers for 460 grantees and CNCS staff.

b. Overall Evaluation: If you haven’t already, please be sure to share your feedback on this year’s Symposium in writing: There are questions on the survey about the venue, agenda, on-site management, logistics, website, mobile app, and more. And the survey includes fields for comments and general feedback. Please complete the survey no later than September 29. We’ll combine feedback provided on this survey with individual session evaluations submitted during the Symposium to develop and improve future training events.

c. Presentations: Many of the presenter materials were posted as PDFs prior to the Symposium. And over the next few weeks, all the presentations, handouts, and plenary videos and transcripts will be posted on the Symposium website and linked through the Knowledge Network. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to your CNCS Program Officer if you are looking for a particular set of presenter materials.

5. Symposium Resource Spotlight: Organizational Capacity Assessment Tool—During the Symposium, staff in the CNCS Office of Research and Evaluation presented an introduction to a new tool developed over the summer to help organizations assess their capacity in a number of ways. You can find the PPT from the presentation at this link. The tool will also be posted on the evaluation page of the Knowledge Network later this fall.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional information at this time.

Thank you – and have a good week,

AmeriCorps State and National
