Executive Summary

An estimated 120 RSVP volunteers will serve the eight designated counties in this project over the course of the three-year grant period. Of this number, 80 RSVP volunteers will be placed in outcome assignments. Some of their activities will include: assisting with Adult Basic Education; helping with GED courses; assisting with ESL/ESOL courses; and assisting in housing searches. The primary focus areas of this project are "Economic Opportunity" and "Veterans and Military Families." At the end of the three-year grant, Workforce Resource will: increase the number of economically-disadvantaged individuals placed in jobs; increase the number of economically-disadvantaged individuals, including homeless individuals, transitioned into safe, healthy, affordable housing; increase the number of veterans placed into post-secondary training programs; and increase the number of veterans placed in post-service employment.
