Executive Summary

The Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault will have fifteen (15) AmeriCorps members who will provide victims with crisis advocacy and information on resources, safety options and financial literacy, as well as leveraging community volunteers at their individual site, located at one of 24 local domestic violence and sexual assault programs in Wyoming. At the end of the 1st program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for services to 400 victims with increased access to safety and community resources for 250 victims. 75 victims will have access to financial literacy education and economic resources. In addition the AmeriCorps members will leverage an additional 300 leveraged volunteers that will be engaged in providing emergency and on-call crisis intervention for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.

This program will focus on the CNCS focus area of Economic Opportunity. The CNCS investment of $195,000 will be matched with $195,978 (50%), $160,612 in public/private funding and $35,366 in other funding.
