Washington, D.C. – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) released the RSVP 2014 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) competition today to provide local nonprofit and public agencies an opportunity to increase their capacity by engaging adults age 55 and older in high impact with volunteer service.
Established in 1971 and now one of the largest senior volunteer programs in the nation, RSVP offers a diverse range of volunteer activities that serve communities to create measurable impact, benefit volunteers through the service experience, and create community capacity. WEST, TX – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) awarded a $195,000 grant to Heart of Texas RSVP today to support recovery and rebuilding efforts by residents in West, Texas, after last month’s explosion.
