DENVER – On Wednesday, April 27, Mayor Michael B. Hancock will welcome Mayor Jennifer Roberts of Charlotte, N.C. to Denver for the fourth-annual Service Bowl project. In partnership with the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the mayors placed a friendly Super Bowl wager focused on the importance of volunteering and community service.

National Service Agency Awards $17.2 Million in Grants to Support Senior Volunteers

The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) today announced more than $17, 200,000 in funding to support organizations and nonprofits across the nation. The organizations will leverage the experience and skills of Senior Corps RSVP volunteers who serve in schools, disaster response initiatives, veterans’ organizations, and other areas.
