Message from the Acting CEO on the Next Generation of My AmeriCorps

Dear Colleagues:

I am writing to give you an update on the status of the next generation of My AmeriCorps. We have been working diligently over the last several months to put the necessary technical, program support, and training in place for a successful launch. Currently we are planning to launch this summer. We know that the earlier upgrades have presented some challenges, so we are hoping to smooth this transition with earlier advance notice, additional training, and by soliciting your feedback from the beginning.

Phase 3 will include exciting new features that build on existing functions introduced in Phases 1 and 2. The entire package is designed to improve the quality and efficiency of your work, and allow you to streamline operations.

Support services will include training sessions for CNCS staff; webinars for State Commissions and grantees throughout the month of July, and online tutorials. Those attending the National Conference in San Francisco can also take advantage of a My AmeriCorps session. Over the next several weeks we will be sending out updates, including instructions on how to access the online tools.

Thank you for working with us throughout this process. Your ideas and suggestions are essential to our efforts to improve both this transition and the system itself. The next email you receive will include a dedicated feedback mechanism. We look forward to your input.
