National Service Works for America Videos
For nearly two decades National Service has been working for America ─ improving lives, strengthening communities, and fostering civic engagement through service and volunteering.
The Corporation for National and Community Services (CNCS) programs, AmeriCorps, Senior Corps, the Social Innovation fund, tap the energy of our nation’s greatest resource – the American people – and focus it on pressing social problems.
AmeriCorps members and Senior Corps volunteers work across the country to tutor and mentor youth, build affordable housing, teach computer skills, clean parks and streams, run after-school programs, or help communities respond to disasters.
The National Service Works for America videos take a look at three communities ─ Seattle, Denver, and Yazoo City, MS and show, through a series of interlocking stories, the impact that National Service makes in the fields of education, veteran affairs and disaster services.
