Last month, Corporation for National and Community Service staff visited several sites in New York and New Jersey where national service members were helping with the Hurricane Sandy recovery effort. Today, we'd like to share two of the videos from that trip.

The first video features New York City Firefighter Phil Pillet of Operation Breezy Gut and Pump speaking about the contributions of AmeriCorps members outside a home in Breezy Point, NY. The second video highlights AmeriCorps members from around the country who have converged on New York and New Jersey from across the nation to help with the Sandy recovery.

Visit our Hurricane Sandy page to learn more about the national service response to the disaster and ways to contribute.
