RSVP 2013 Competition Appendix A Part 1 Funding Opportunities
If Illinois Opportunity #9 is awarded to Peoria Friendship House, an estimated 971 volunteers will serve within the service area of Peoria and Tazewell counties in central Illinois. Based on passed experience, it is estimated these volunteers will provide over 90,000 hour of volunteer service to area non-profit organizations. The estimated value of these hours based on data from the Independent Sector indicates volunteers will provide over $215,000.00 in "in-kind" services.
The focus areas identified in this proposal where volunteer services will be directed include: Healthy Futures-Education-Environmental Stewardship-Disaster Services-Economic Opportunity-Veterans and Families-Capacity Building.
Peoria Friendship House and RSVP of Peoria and Tazewell Counties has over 30 years of providing coordination and support of volunteer programming to this area. This proposal supports the continuation of providing valuable and valued volunteers to non-profit organizations in order to assist them in completing their respective missions.
