RSVP 2013 Competition Appendix A Part 1 Funding Opportunities
Bryan County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, Inc. would appreciate your consideration of this application for the recompetition of the RSVP grant for 2013/2014. Bryan County RSVP is a not for profit, 501c3, self-sponsored organization.
Our mission is to link person 55 years of age and older in meaningful volunteer opportunities that meet community needs as well as the volunteer.
We currently have 325 RSVP volunteers serving in 61 sites in Bryan County, Oklahoma.
We are requesting $35,389.00 for the operation of our program for 2013/2014. The service areas we plan to address are Healthly futures, Veterans/Military families, Disaster Services, Economic Opportunity, Education, and Environmental Stewardship.
Community needs we will focus on will be nutrition for all at risk persons (food pantries, food kitchens, senior nutrition centers), Veterans and their families (transportation for veterans), Disaster preparedness (community mapping) and Education.
Bryan County RSVP will continue to work closely with our Board of Directors, (which is composed of community and service leaders) and our volunteer sites in addressing the needs of our community.
Bryan County RSVP will participate in Senior Health Fairs, Senior Games, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Southeastern Oklahoma Medical Center, Area Agency on Aging and our County and City officials to provide the best services to the citizens of Bryan County.
