School Turnaround AmeriCorps State Competitive Direct FY 2013
Forty-four half-time AmeriCorps members will leverage an additional 220 volunteers to develop and provide the Rio Grande Educational Collaborative School Improvement Project (SIP) program in 22 schools in central New Mexico, specifically Bernalillo and Torrance Counties. At the end of the three-year project period the program will have demonstrated increased academic performance in reading and math among 540 of 675 students who complete the program per year. The CNCS investment of $292,219 will be matched with $309,894.
