Boys Hope Girls Hope
Thirty AmeriCorps members will engage in capacity building efforts that will result in the leverage of 860 volunteers to effectively promote educational success for young men and women who are in out-of-home placement, or in circumstances in which placement may be indicated. As a result, we intend to increase the number of children in out-of-home care who succeed educationally by graduating from high school and matriculating into college. This 3-year project beginning in September, 2012 and concluding in September 2015 will focus on the CNCS focus area of capacity building with Members placed in 20 sites across the U.S. The CNCS investment of $335,287 will be matched with $202,564.
