Habitat for Humanity Seattle - King County
Fifteen full-time AmeriCorps members will leverage an additional 8,320 volunteers over three years to serve 260 economically disadvantaged individuals by constructing, repairing, and disaster-retrofitting 83 homes in support of low-income homeownership around the Puget Sound region of Washington State. Additionally, 486 low-income individuals and supporters will attend AmeriCorps-organized disaster preparedness trainings, resulting in 387 individuals reporting better disaster readiness by the end of December 2015. This project will focus on the CNCS focus areas of Economic Opportunity and Disaster Services. The CNCS investment of $189,000 will be through a fixed-amount grant.
