Public Allies, Inc.
Commission AmeriCorps State Fixed Amount Grants FY 2012
Public Allies Indianapolis is seeking 30 full-time AmeriCorps Members to help meet the capacity needs of local nonprofit organizations that are working to impact quality of life and educational attainment indicators for Indianapolis children and the housing and economic disparities that face Indianapolis' most vulnerable families. Public Allies will strengthen the ability of our nonprofit partners working in the areas of Education and Economic Opportunity to deliver sustainable solutions to these issues by engaging young, indigenous talent, committed to making a difference, in the delivery of well-defined, capacity-building service projects from September 2012 through June 2013 that will increase the efficacy, efficiency and scale of our partners' efforts to reduce poverty and increase educational attainment of youth. Our Members are able to deliver strong impact as a result of the intensive Training and Learning program they each undergo, which cultivates a style of leadership that enables the Member to deliver results and build the collaborations between our nonprofit partners and community stakeholders required to scale the holistic solutions called for by these multi-faceted issues.
