Public Allies, Inc.
Forty-nine Public Allies Chicago AmeriCorps members will help increase the capacity of local nonprofit organizations that are working to impact Chicago's educational and socio-economic disparities. At the end of the 10 month period, our Members will strengthen the ability of our nonprofit partners to deliver sustainable solutions to these issues by completing projects that increase the efficacy, efficiency and scale of our partners' efforts--50% of partners will experience an increase in scale, 25% will experience an increase in organizational efficacy, and 25% will report an increase in organizational effectiveness. Our Members are able to deliver strong impact as a result of the intensive Training and Learning they each undergo, which cultivates a style of leadership that enables the Member to deliver results and build the collaborations between our nonprofit partners and community stakeholders required to scale the holistic solutions called for by these multi-faceted issues. This project will impact the CNCS focus areas of Economic Opportunity and Education through a Capacity Building model. The total request for this fixed-amount grant is $637,000.
