Public Allies, Inc.
Commission AmeriCorps State Fixed Amount Grants FY 2012
Public Allies Milwaukee is seeking 45 full-time AmeriCorps Members to help meet the capacity needs of local nonprofit organizations that are working to impact Milwaukee's health and economic disparities and the engagement of disconnected youth. Public Allies AmeriCorps Members will strengthen the ability of our 40 nonprofit partners working in the areas of Education, Economic Opportunity, and Healthy Futures to deliver sustainable solutions to these issues by delivering well-defined, capacity-building service projects from September 2012 through June 2013 that will result in the increased efficacy, efficiency and scale of our host sites' efforts to reduce poverty, reduce health disparities, and improve the education and career trajectories for Milwaukee's most vulnerable young adults. Our Members are able to deliver strong impacts as a result of the intensive Training and Learning they each undergo, which cultivates a style of leadership that enables the Member to deliver results and build the collaborations between our nonprofit partners and community stakeholders required to scale the holistic solutions called for by these multi-faceted issues.
