Executive Summary

The GREEN (Grow--Renew--Educate- Engage--NH) AmeriCorps Program will place 7 full time members and 10 minimum time members at small community based organizations in NH that are engaged in environmental sustainability activities. Member activities will focus on:

-Providing training that will increase behavioral changes that lead directly to decreased energy and water consumption or improve at-risk ecosystems

-Recruiting volunteers to engage in activities that promote environmental sustainability

The program will begin on July 15, 2012 and end on June 15,2013. The expected outcome of the program is an increase in the number of individuals engaging in environmentally responsible activities and to create a significant increase in the number of volunteers engaged in projects that protect NH's environment. By changing the behavior of more than 3,330 individuals through training the following results can be achieved over three years:

*2,325,375 trees conserved as a result of diminished paper consumption
