Commission AmeriCorps State Fixed Amount Grants FY 2011
The Salt Lake County Community Resources and Development Division (CRD) seeks to place 50 full time AmeriCorps members that would conduct activities benefitting homeless populations under the Opportunity focus area in a program called AmeriCorps Alleviating Homelessness (AAH). Specifically, member activities will be aimed at outreach to and engagement of homeless persons, the stabilization and support of previously homeless individuals and families in housing, and efforts aimed at guiding, where appropriate, homeless and formerly homeless persons toward self sufficiency.
CRD's proposal is a fixed amount grant. Given the success in raising money for this project and its history of having AmeriCorps members that finish their terms, CRD is able to craft a budget and program that will work on the $13,000 or below per MSY requirement.
