San Antonio Food Bank 5200 Old Highway 90 West San Antonio, Texas 78227 Overall Objectives, Key methodologies/strategies With the Nonprofit Capacity Building Program, San Antonio Food Bank (SAFB) will provide additional training for 529 partner agencies in capacity building and performance management systems through an educational series, an all-agency conference, a new speaker series and a new full-time employee to manage this project and help agencies build capacity. Currently, the SAFB already offers several training opportunities for partner agencies and this program will exponentially increase the information presented and the agencies reached. The SAFB will enhance current partner agency conferences by establishing an additional all-agency conference. Areas Served San Antonio, Texas and 16 surrounding counties - Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Edwards, Frio, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, La Salle, Medina, Real, Uvalde, Wilson, Zavala. Number of Small and Midsize Nonprofits Served SAFB aims to reach as many partner agencies that qualify as "small and midsized nonprofits". We anticipate this to be all but a few of our 529 partner agencies. (Agencies that are potentially too large include Boys & Girls Club, Salvation Army, Red Cross). Amount requested SAFB is looking at a project budget of $380,907 for the two-year contract period, therefore SAFB is requesting $189,830 from CNCS for the Nonprofit Capacity Building Grant.
