Executive Summary

Executive Summary: The SEARK Cooperative in collaboration with fourteen school districts located in nine counties address identified community needs in education through part time members in Arkansas Smart Start AmeriCorps Program. Smart Start AmeriCorps volunteers provide targeted populations with necessary services to improve student academic performance. The AmeriCorps volunteers receive teacher training and have the opportunity to serve within their own economically distressed communities.
