Open Government Transparency promotes accountability by providing the public with information about what the government is doing. The following are samples of this initiative at the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).

  • National Service In Your State
Dig deep and learn more about Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and Learn and Serve America programs in your state.
  • Volunteering in America
Learn about volunteering trends and demographics across the United States. You can search by state, city or geographic region.

In order to provide for as open an environment as possible for all the activities of CNCS, have gathered links to our statutes, regulations, and policies in one place for your review:

Open Government Participation allows members of the public to contribute ideas and expertise so that their government can make policies with the benefit of a wide range of views and information.

United We Serve aims to expand the impact of existing organizations by engaging new volunteers in their work and encourage volunteers to develop their own “do-it-yourself” projects. After passage of the Serve America Act, CNCS hosted a nationwide listening tour to gather input on our implementation of the legislation. We received thousands of comments through public meetings, conference calls, emails and web postings.
